Our Mission
The Honors Housing Community provides a supportive environment where students are encouraged to speak, inquire, challenge, and make a difference. Through this unique residential experience, we help students develop the personal, professional, and intellectual skills needed to address tomorrow's multifaceted problems.
Why Choose the HHC?
Simply put, you matter here.
In the HHC, you don’t just live in our community, you actively create it by:
- Forming spontaneous study groups that boost everyone's academic performance
- Transforming the Lechner Seminar Room (LSR) from an all-night study session to a board game fest, movie night, LAN party, or anything else you can imagine
- Building cross-class connections which transcend traditional university social boundaries
- Engaging in quirky traditions like our annual "Superlatives" awards celebrating individual uniqueness or “Freedom Brick” to signal when you're open to visitors and conversation
- Becoming a formal leader by joining the Honors Housing Community Student Leaders (our Peer Mentors) or an informal leader by bringing your authentic self to every interaction, conversation, and community gathering
Research-backed benefits:
Research consistently shows that students who participate in Living Learning Communities like the HHC experience significant benefits, including:

- Stronger campus connections and increased involvement in professional organizations
- Enhanced faculty relationships through events such as our “Guest Speaker Series”
- Accelerated personal development through peer mentorship and leadership opportunities

Other benefits of the HHC:

- Convenient Northside location near Northside Garage, Hullaballoo Starbucks, and Sbisa dining hall

- An environment that encourages students to maturely navigate differences in opinions, beliefs, practices, and traditions as part of a small, supportive peer group within the larger Texas A&M community
