Sharon Dormire

Dr. Sharon Dormire wants to live in a world where we celebrate and value our individual uniqueness, recognizing that each person adds to the tapestry of life in their own way. She is a Professor in the College of Nursing and has taught at Texas A&M University for the past 10 years. Dr. Dormire has received a range of teaching and research awards; however, she is most proud of the accomplishments of her students and former students. Her true passions are nursing and teaching, and she views learning as a lifelong, shared journey. When Dr. Dormire is not teaching, you can find her reading true-crime mysteries, completing jigsaw puzzles, or enjoying time with her husband. Among her favorite things in life are colorful sunsets, babies, fireworks, jet flyovers, puppies, and the ocean.
