Michaela Baca
Aggie Core Values Faculty Fellow Department of EnglishMichaela Baca (she/hers) wants to live in a world where people listen to and respect each other and their unique perspectives. She also believes in a world with the Oxford comma, and commas in general, but acknowledges that both of the following situations might be true, though she has opinions about the latter: "Let's eat, Grandma!" or "Let's eat Grandma!"
Dr. Baca is a Lecturer in English and has taught at Texas A&M for 10 years, first as a graduate student, and since 2022, as a Faculty member. She specializes in Medieval and Early Modern literature and core writing courses. She currently coordinates the Technical and Professional Writing Program. Dr. Baca is also an active member of the University Honor Council and the Faculty Senate.
When Michaela is not teaching, you can find her reading (probably fantasy), gardening (for pollinators), or chauffeuring her children to competitive cheer (probably with glitter).
