Aaron Raley currently serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Texas A&M Honors Academy, where he assists in the daily operations of the Honors, Undergraduate Research, and National Fellowship offices, his way of giving back to the university that treated him so well as an undergraduate.
Born and raised in Northeast Texas, hailing from Greenville, Aaron began his post-secondary education with a year at East Texas A&M University (formerly Texas A&M University-Commerce) before transferring to College Station in 2022 and graduating cum laude from Texas A&M University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies, with a focus in journalism and communications while also minoring in history and sport management.
During his time at Texas A&M, Aaron was heavily involved with the Aggie Baptist Student Ministry (BSM), where he served on the worship team as a guitarist and took part in mission trips across Texas and the United States, allowing him to meet new people and explore different parts of the nation.
In addition to his duties with the Honors Academy, Aaron is a credentialed sportswriter with Texas A&M Aggies On SI, where he produces breaking news, interviews with players and coaches, game recaps, player breakdowns, and everything in between for A&M's football, basketball, and baseball teams, and can be seen covering these events in person throughout their respective seasons.
Aaron's sports fandom is vast, particularly taking interest in baseball, American football, professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, and auto racing, with a couple of his bucket list items including visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums, as well as attending a Formula 1 Grand Prix outside of the United States.
Aaron is also a musician, a player of the electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, as well as the trumpet from his marching band days and will sing at the drop of a hat, enjoying music by bands such as U2, Coldplay, Metallica, really just about any rock artist from the 1960s to the 2000s, and some of his extracurricular coursework in College Station included musical classes titled "Guitar Heroes" and "History of Rock Music."
In his free time, aside from his music, Aaron enjoys spending time with friends and family, assembling LEGO sets, attending sporting events and concerts as a spectator, as well as watching films and TV shows of the comedy genre.
