Scholarships Recipients
The first semester of college is an interesting and exciting time. But it is also a time of change and making adjustments, particularly for students who attend college away from home. Sometimes new college students may begin to feel a little overwhelmed by it all. Honors Programs advisors are here to help students achieve their goals and maintain their academic performance. Scholarship advisors can help scholarship recipients achieve the following:
-
Form partnerships with other high achieving students by providing a caring and inviting atmosphere
-
Enhance one's academic experience by complementing departmental advising
-
Discover a plethora of educational resources, development opportunities, and individualized challenges
-
Learn about additional opportunities for graduate scholarships and other financial assistance.
The Honors Programs office is also affiliated with
Aggie Scholars Promoting Incentive, Resources, and Encouragement (ASPIRE), a student organization comprised
of upper-division students who volunteer time to help freshmen “learn the ropes” of college life.
Scholarship recipients (and any new student) should become familiar with the wide array of support services provided by Undergraduate Programs and Academic Services.
