Appointments

OPGSA advisors are available for one-on-one appointments, walk-ins and group advising. To set up a time, please call our office at 979-847-8938, and our student workers will find a time most convenient. All first time appointments, please read below.

Pre-Advising Questionnaire

Students who wish to meet with an OPGSA advisor for the first time should first call 979-847-8938 to make an appointment, and then they must complete one of the following questionnaires before arriving for their advising appointment.

1. Download the appropriate questionnaire above

2. Complete the PDF and print it out OR print it out and complete it by hand

3. Bring completed questionnaire to your first scheduled advising appointment.

First-time students who attempt to check in for a scheduled appointment without a completed questionnaire will be asked to complete one on site, thereby shortening the length of their appointment time.

To receive useful information pertaining to your pre-professional program and current events, join the appropriate OPGSA listserv:

- Aggie-Dentists : For pre-dental students

- Aggie-Doctors : For pre-medical students

- Aggie-Lawyers : For pre-law students

- Pre-Vet-Aggies : For pre-veterinary students

- AggieOptometry : For pre-optometry students

- HealthProfessions: For pre-physical therapy, pre-physician assistant,

  pre-nursing, and other pre-health care professions students

- Pre-Pharmacy-Aggies: For pre-pharmacy students

- GradPrograms : For pre-graduate students

There are many ways to join:

- Point your browser to http://listserv.tamu.edu, click on Public Archives, scroll to the list you wish to join, and follow the directions.

                             OR

- Send an email to listserv@listserv.tamu.edu. In the body of the email type: subscribe (name of list) First-name Last-name

   - ex: subscribe aggie-doctors Ima Aggie

                            OR

- Stop by the OPGSA office in Henderson Hall and sign up!

To Unsubscribe from any Listserv:

- Send a new email to listserv@listserv.tamu.edu (do not hit reply to the last email you received). Leave the subject blank, and put in the body, the words unsub name of list replacing name of list with the listserv name.
