Summer Undergraduate Research: The Best Investment in Your Future
For many students, the joy of summer is that they don't have to take classes. But while many students use their summers to work, relax, or catch up on their sleep, many students get involved in summer research programs at Texas A&M, across the country, and even across the world! Summer programs tend to be 8-10 weeks in duration (June through early August), and many of them are paid.
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs are some of the most competitive summer programs available. Undergraduate Research offers supplemental activities for students participating in REU programs here at Texas A&M, such as a Welcome BBQ, Brown Bag Lecture Series, and the Summer Undergraduate Research Poster Session. A complete listing of the REU programs offered at Texas A&M can be found on the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies website.

Many other resources exist at Texas A&M; students who are interested in a corporate internship can contact the Career Center, and students who are interested in international opportunities should visit the Study Abroad office.
