College & Departmental Honors Study Sequences
If you're attracted to the guidance provided by an organized curriculum of honors studies, several academic colleges at Texas A&M have created structured honors study sequences, such as the Engineering Scholars Program, The College of Liberal Arts Honors Plan and Business Honors. These sequences admit students by application and confer collegiate Honors recognition at graduation upon students successfully completing the college Honors requirements. Collegiate and departmental Honors study sequences are not separate programs but part of the rich array of Honors study opportunities available for participants in the University Honors Program. Frequently, these students will also complete the requirements for graduation with University or Foundation Honors.
Students interested in applying to a college or departmental honors study sequence should contact the appropriate college or department directly. All programs at a minimum require applicants to meet University Honors Program participation elgibility. To determine eligibility to participate in Honors courses, click here.
Several academic departments have expanded the Honors study opportunities available to majors to the point that students may qualify to graduate with departmental Honors recognition by meeting certain requirements. Departments currently offering this option include: Biochemistry & Biophysics, Communication, Mathematics, History, Psychology, and English.
