What are the goals of the of the Research Fellows program?
The goals of the program are as follows:
- To provide a select group of students with the opportunity to conduct independent research in their fields of interest.
- To provide these students with an opportunity to communicate their research findings to others.
In order to meet these goals and to receive Research Fellows distinction at graduation, students must do the following:
- Attend all the Research Fellows meetings during the academic year.
- Present findings to other Research Fellows and advisors in brief, but well-prepared presentations.
- Complete a Senior Honors Thesis, a paper that could be published in a reputable scholarly journal.
- Maintain 3.5 GPR through graduation (3.4 if using catalog 126 or below).
