Do not wait to apply for scholarships! Many scholarships may require additional documentation or letters of recommendation. If you apply late, you run the risk of not completing your application in time for full consideration. |

Do not forget to write down your 6-digit application ID#. This number will serve as your ID for both your admissions and your scholarship application. You will need it to re-access your application and verify submission. |

Please note that changes cannot be made to your social security number once it is saved on page 1. If corrections need to be made to your social security number, please fax a copy of your social security card to the Office of Honors Programs and Academic Scholarships at 979-862-8455.
This information will be provided to the Office of Admissions and Records to update your file.

Both the admissions and the scholarship application collect much of the same information. To avoid having to enter the same information twice, we highly recommend that you complete the admissions portion of the online application through at least page 6 (Employment Information and Essays) before attempting to begin the scholarship application. If applicable, information you save within the admissions application will be used to complete your scholarship application.
Note: You must SUBMIT BOTH applications to be considered for admission and scholarship processing.

In order to be considered for undergraduate scholarships, freshman applicants should begin by selecting "Create a New Scholarship Application" |

Though not required, we encourage all applicants to answer all income questions. Leaving any income questions blank on the scholarship application may disqualify you for some of the scholarships that are awarded. |

Mail all supporting documentation, letters of recommendation, etc. to the Office of Honors Programs and Academic Scholarships, Texas A&M University, 101 Academic Building, 4233 TAMU, College Station, TX 77843-4233. |

Saving an application is not the same as submitting an application. To be considered for admissions and for scholarships you must submit your applications when prompted. Once your applications have been submitted, you will receive a confirmation message from the Texas Common App delivered to the e-mail address you provided on your applications. |

After submitting your application select "Go to Texas A&M University" for additional scholarship information specific to Texas A&M University. |

After submitting your Admission application, you should expect to receive correspondence directly from Texas A&M University within 3-5 days of our receipt of your application from the Texas Common App. Follow the instructions on the Application Acknowledgement Letter to gain access to the Office of Admissions and Records Applicant Information System (OARAIS). |
